Vision and Values

Destination Excellence

 Tenacity, Unity, Growth

Destination Excellence is our school-wide ethos, focused on striving for progress rather than perfection. It is rooted in a growth mindset-believing that abilities can be developed through effort, perseverance and learning from mistakes. We encourage children to make small, cinsistent improvements- known as 1% gains- across all aspects of school life. Whether in learning, behaviour, organisation or attitude, these incremental steps lead to meaningful, long-term growth. By aiming for continual improvement, every child can move closer to thier own version of excellence.

 Expectations & Weekly Organisation
To support the children on their journey towards Destination Excellence and to help them make consistent 1% gains, we have a number of key expectations that underpin our daily routines and approach to learning.

 Behaviour: Ready, Respectful & Safe
Children are expected to follow our three school rules at all times: Ready, Respectful and Safe. These provide a clear and consistent foundation for behaviour in all areas of school life.

 Values: Unity, Growth, Tenacity
Our school values - Unity, Grouth and Tenacity - are at the heart of everything we do. Children are encouraged to demonstrate these values daily, both in their learning and in their relationships with others.

 Pride of Brooke Hill
Each week, one child from every class is recognised with the Pride of Brooke Hill certificate. This award celebrates a range of achievements, including academic progree, positive attitude or excellent behaviour.

 Always Child
In addition, each class selects an Always Child - this is a pupil who consistently demonstrates our school values and the ethos of Destination Excellence. These children are entered into a termly raffle, and ten are chosen to enjoy a special group award.

 Celebrating Success
We love to celebrate achievements beyond the classroom too. If your child receives a certificate, trophy or medal for an out-of-school activity, please send it in so we can celebrate their success during our weekly assembly or in class.
